Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstract format

  • Abstracts must be submitted in a structured format with the following subheadings:
    Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
  • The abstract text must not exceed 300 words, excluding the title, authors, and affiliations.
  • Abstract titles must:
    • be a maximum of 25 words,
    • be descriptive,
    • not contain abbreviations.

Language and style

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • The abstract body may include standard abbreviations, provided they are spelled out in full at first use.
  • Scientific symbols are permitted.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that abstracts are carefully checked for spelling and grammar prior to submission.

Tables and figures

  • Abstracts may include up to one table and/or one figure or diagram.

Authorship and submission rules

  • All listed authors must have approved the submission of the abstract.
  • Authors may submit multiple abstracts.
  • Only one presenting author may be nominated per abstract.

Important dates and presentation requirements

  • The abstract submission deadline is 3 April 2026.
  • All submitting authors will be notified of the outcome by the end of April 2026.
  • At least one author must be available to present the abstract if it is accepted.
  • The presenting author must be registered for the conference.

Submission process

  • Only abstracts submitted via the online abstract submission portal (linked above) will be considered.
  • Abstracts submitted by email or other means will not be accepted.
